| LISA Academy Seniors Scholarship Report |
Our senior students have been getting accepted to the colleges and awarded scholarships. We congratulate the following students that has been awarded scholarships from colleges:
Nicholas Ward and Gerald Mitchell has been awarded a Razorback Bridge Scholarship to study at the University of Arkansas. Razorback Bridge Scholarships are among the university's most prestigious awards, providing up to $3500 per year tuition, fees, and on-campus room and board to top students from Arkansas, and the nation. Twenty-six Razorback Bridge Scholarships are being awarded this year.
Asli Ahmed has been awarded full scholarship by Howard University and 75% scholarship by Hendrix University.

| HIGH TEST SCORES |
LISA Academy High School has been achieving high scores in the State tests.
Small-size classes, individual attention to each student, after-school tutoring and mock tests help students to improve their test score.

| PRE-AP & AP COURSES |
Pre-AP and AP courses are the more challenging courses and prepare the students for college courses. Students are able to have college credit provided that they score 3 or more in the standardized College Board AP tests.
LISA Academy is offering a good number of Pre-AP and AP courses for its students and encourages them to take these courses.
LISA Academy is also planning to increase the number of Pre-AP and AP courses by the time.

| CAREER TECHNICAL COURSES |
LISA Academy offers three different career technical paths for its students. Two of the paths are related with Computer Design and Computer Science and the other one is related with Medical Science.
Students are able to start taking these courses starting 10th grade and to switch between paths.
These courses are counted as elective credits while preparing our students for their future career.

| FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING |
LISA Academy has improved its scheduling system and has increased the number of periods from 6 to 7.
This change makes our high school schedule more flexible. Older students are now able to take some certain classes with younger grades.
This way, our students have more elective options and have the chance of recovering their credits.

| 95+% COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE RATE |
LISA Academy is proud of their graduates. We had our first graduate class in 2009.
12 of 13 of our graduates last year are going to college. 1 is in the army and expects army to pay for his college education. We are expecting 95+% of our current seniors to be admitted to a college in 2010.

| SMALL SIZE CLASSES |
LISA Academy provides small size classes for its students. The maximum occupancy for a high school course is 28 and the minimum is 1. Students are able to have smaller size classes while progressing through our high school programs. There are classes that have 1, 2, 5, 10 and 15 students in. This helps our teachers to focus on each student and provide the best education for them.

| INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION |
Students deserve and get more individual attention at LISA Academy.
Currently, LISA Academy has 148 high school students, 25 teachers that teach at least one high school class. The ratio is 1/6.
Teachers know each student by their name, their academic strengths and academic weaknesses.
It is easy to access to High School Counselors.

| ACT TUTORING CLASSES AND GROUPS |
LISA Academy offers ACT preparation classes and special tutoring groups. ACT Math and ACT English classes are offered to 10th, 11th and 12th graders after school.
Our Math, Science and English teachers sacrifice their personal time and tutor high school students in small groups for ACT.

| ENHANCED HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING |
LISA Academy has two high school and college counselors for its 148 students. Each high school student has an opportunity to meet the counselors anytime without having to have an appointment. Students are provided guidance for high school course selections, graduation requirements, college preparation and college applications. Our counselors also visit parents at their houses and let them know about their child(ren)’s high school progress.

LISA Academy provides an easy-to-use online student information system for its students and parents. Our students are parents are able to
•check the current grades •see the number of credits earned •view class schedules •view and download assignments given for each course •see tests and their scores •view and download homework given •attendance history, discipline history and much more

| STRONG PARENT-TEACHER RELATIONS |
LISA Academy parents and teachers have strong relationships. Our parents are involved in school activities, after-school programs, lunches and more. Our teachers are just one email away from our parents. Our teachers are also working so hard, going beyond their schedule and trying to visit our parents in their homes. The goal of home visits is first of all to get our parents' feedback and ask about any concerns and to have a better communication and increase parent involvement in their child's education. This builds rapport and respect between the student, parent and the teacher which improves students' academic and behavioral performance at school.
